Tell us about Mojo…is it still around?

It’s still around. It is basically a bicycle shop in the back with a bar and a little kitchen in the front, with a small bit of outdoor seating. They have pop up restaurants that come in during the week. My friends and I started going there because of the outdoor seating when it was nice and it has come to be our place for some happy hour drinks on Thursdays.

Do you cook? What is your signature dish in the kitchen?

I do. My signature dish is one that I only make once a year. I roast a duck and then make these little appetizers with the meat, where I wrap the duck meat in flour tortillas with hoisin and green onions and crisp up the skin in the oven for some extra crunch. It takes so much time to cook the duck, that I only make it once a year. It’s absolutely delicious.

It’s all shit, but the best airline food is…

There is a decent chicken and cheese focaccia sandwich on United flights, but if you get upgraded they sometimes have vanilla ice cream sundaes which is amazing on a plane

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?

It would have to be Anthony Bourdain, that guy is the man. I would love to just hang with him and have a beer, and listen to his legendary stories and have him make me food
