A track you love to hear on a sunny morning…

YaYaYa by RY X

Your perfect breakfast would be…

In the sunshine starting with a cappuccino. Personally, I have a weakness for scrambled eggs, especially when they’re paired with spinach and some ricotta on the side.

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…

That’s definitely the Filipino delicacy known as “balut,” which is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled and eaten from the shell.

The dish that reminds me of my childhood

Mandarin Quark Cake. Whenever there was a birthday celebration, my mom would prepare this cake, and I couldn’t resist sneaking those perfectly placed mandarin slices from the top.

Who taught you to cook?

Haha, although I am a big foodie, I can’t claim to be a great chef. My boyfriend’s an absolute master at cooking, and I excel as a ‘kitchen elf’—I’m great at tasks like chopping and preparing ingredients.

Your favourite 3 restaurants in your home city…

Co Chin Chin – Amazing Vietnamese Food in a very beautiful industrial place with high ceilings, with plants and chandeliers hanging from it.

Josef – It’s the go-to place for all you foodies with a trendy urban vibe.

Seerose – You gotta hit this spot up in the summer. Seerose is right next to a little harbour and is built into the lake. It has a beautiful view and very nice food.

Bonus Tip: At Les Halles, imagine bikes hanging from the ceiling! You mainly go there to eat Moules et Frites while having a blast playing table soccer on the side.

5 other restaurants from around the world you love…

Nobu in Malibu is probably my all time favourite restaurant

Scorpios – Mykonos – Such a beautiful place, with the nicest sunset and when I was there they had incredible live music on and I’m honored to play there again this summer.

Sunset Ashram – Ibiza

Restaurant Es Port de Valldemossa – Mallorca – Hands down, the best paella I’ve ever tasted! Just a heads up, though: getting there involves a challenging winding, narrow road from Valldemossa town down to the harbour.

Micasadeco & Cafe – Kyoto – My favourite meal of the day is breakfast so this can’t be missed out here. This is such a cute place in Kyoto that makes the best fluffy pancakes I’ve ever had.

A DJ or musician that has surprised you with their cooking skills at home/their home…what did they cook

Haha I’ve really been thinking hard now, but all my DJ friends either can’t cook well or we just mostly eat out.

Your guilty pleasure food. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…

Well, being Swiss, mine is definitely chocolate 🙂 I can’t understand how people can just take a small piece and stop… I always end up devouring the whole bar. But hey, chocolate brings joy, so it’s worth it!

What is your signature dish?

I may not have a wide range of culinary skills, but I can certainly prepare a delicious whole fish in the oven. I stuff it with lemon and thyme, drizzle it with olive oil, and it always turns out delicious!

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?

I’d definitely pick Grant Achatz. His cooking style is incredibly inspiring, and I’m fascinated by his innovative approach to creating dishes. I’d love to have a conversation with him about the creative process behind his culinary creations. I imagine there are many parallels to be drawn between inventing new dishes and composing new music.

Dead or alive – 3 famous people you would invite around for dinner…

&Me

Lando Norris

Emma Stone

A dish you have yet to master…

Haha, there are quite a few! But this summer, I’m determined to learn how to make Gyozas.

Your favourite pizza topping

Pineapple. Kidding! Pizza with mascarpone, prosciutto crudo and rocket is my favourite.

Your biggest ever food mistake

When I was 15 years old, I went for an exchange year to the USA, where I stayed with a host family who never allowed me to cook or bake. One day, they finally granted me permission to bake something, and I decided to make muffins using their plastic moulds. Unfortunately, it turned out that those moulds weren’t oven-safe but meant for the freezer. As a result, the plastic melted, and I ended up getting banned from the kitchen thereafter.

A dish you just cannot eat

Sadly, anything that has avocado inside, I am allergic.

You get in from the club pissed, dive in the fridge and usually come out with…?

My boyfriend and I make these over-the-top delicious Japanese chicken nuggets, which always hit the spot.

The most expensive meal you have ever had?

That was probably in Mykonos at Matsuhisa. That hurt haha.

Ibiza…

My favourite restaurant on the island…

Sunset Ashram. The view is amazing, there is often live music and the food is great!

The best sunset spot for a cold drink…

Experimental Beach

A record that always reminds you of Ibiza

The Rapture I – &Me

Your favourite Ibiza dish

I love tapas like Aioli or Jamon Iberico, that’s just a must before any meal. And as for mains, I can’t get enough of the fresh seafood available across the entire island.

The perfect 24 hours in Ibiza would be…

Start with a cappuccino under the sun by the beach. Then, depending on your vibe, head over to either Sa Trinxa or Jondal. Bask in the sunshine, listen to some great music, and sip on refreshing drinks throughout the day. Later, venture to Exploration Beach to catch the breathtaking sunset. Finally, cap off the day with an unforgettable party experience at the WooMoon party.
