Beats & Eats with Alisha

ALISHA makes an impressive debut outing on Hot Creations with ‘Changes’, backed by a remix from Chicago house legend Mike Dunn. A bubbling name within the UK house landscape for several years, it’s fair to say that 2022 was the year that ALISHA truly emerged as a surging name of note, dropping stand-out material via Eastenderz and making appearances at Warehouse Project, Shelter, INPUT and Amnesia for Jamie Jones’ famed Paradise events. Taking things up a level as she gets set for an even bigger twelve months, her first release of 2023 comes on Jones and Lee Foss’ globally renowned Hot Creations with her latest single ‘Changes’ – accompanied by a classy remix from ever-excellent house music icon Mike Dunn. A perfect time to find out what she likes in the kitchen…

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…

HAGGIS! – never again hahaha.

The dish that reminds me of my childhood

Turkey Dinosaurs and Smiley faces – A classic! Or every time I went round my nan’s I’d always have Chicken Supreme.

A DJ or musician that has surprised you with their cooking skills at home/their home…what did they cook

They’ve never cooked for me personally but if you know Latmun then he’s obsessed with cooking and making pizza’s (and very good at it too).

Your guilty pleasure food. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…

KFC. I love it and have it often even tho I know its very bad for you haha.

What is your signature dish?

Hmm… I don’t really have one. I’m good at cooking breakfast’s and good at steak dishes but I don’t have a specific one I don’t think.. (also can cook a good roast dinner)

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?

Gordon Ramsey.

A dish you just cannot eat

Shepards Pie, just not a fan!

You get in from the club pissed, dive in the fridge and usually come out with…?

Anything and everything. I’m a more savory girl so going straight into the cupboard for the crisps is my first go to.

The most expensive meal you have ever had?

Chateaubriand Steak from Gauchos. Worth the money if it’s good food tho!

Ibiza…

My favourite restaurants on the island…

Tapas is lovely go there often when I’m there. Skinny Kitchen for breakfast I absolutely love. And relish on the bay is nice too.

The best sunset spot for a cold drink

No better place than Café Mambo of course!

A record that always reminds you of Ibiza

There’s honestly way too many to choose from. There’s not one in specific its more the parties and the music on the sound system for me. I feel like everything sounds even better there!

Your favourite Ibiza dish

Haha, Bread and Aoli as more of snack but the amount you eat of it might as well be a full meal! And all the tapas dishes go down a treat with me.

The perfect 24 hours in Ibiza would be…

Beach Star Hotel for a day of sunbathing by the pool. Frozen cocktails all day of course! Mambo for sunset, Tapas for dinner & drinks, superclub for your favourite party until the early hours, straight to the airport for a burger king and flight home.
