Vanilla Ace

The record you put on in the morning to start the day with a smile…

Bill Withers ‘Lovely Day’

The perfect breakfast would be…

A typical English breakfast with all the trimmings

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…

I think it would have to be savoury crickets in Mexico…weird for me but normal for the locals.

The dish that reminds me of my childhood…

Toad in the Hole.

A piece of food you just can’t stomach?

Marmite is revolting.

Who taught you to cook?

My mother is a amazing cook, she showed me a few things, I’m not the best but can do a few things well.

Your 3 favourite restaurants in London are…

Big Easy on Kings Rd, Fez Mangal on Kensal Rise (below) and Yashin by High St Kensington.

03

You are in the middle of a North America Tour – food overload time! Some of the dishes you have been enjoying in the States?

I do my best to be healthy when I’m touring the States and mix up what I eat daily. But I had some amazing chicken wings in Kansas (best place for BBQ), sushi in LA and steak in Seattle.

Your guilty pleasure food. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…

If I’m in a city and I know there is a good place to eat BBQ, my mind is set on trying it out.

What is your signature dish?

I can cook a good steak or a mean fry up…

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?

It’s an obvious answer but would have to be Gordon Ramsey as I am addicted to his Kitchen Nightmares show…

When I am a DJing extended sets I usually call out for…

Pizza! Always easy to eat whilst playing.

Dead or alive – 5 people from history/celebrities you would invite around for dinner…

Tough one…it would have to be Michael Jackson, James Brown, John Lennon, Notorious B.I.G and Winston Churchill.

A dish you have yet to master…

Everything! Haha…

The country you love returning to, to sample their cuisine the most…

Thailand, the way the locals cook is very special. Doesn’t come better.

Ibiza…

My favourite restaurant on the island…

Amante Beach Club has great food and a very special setting.

amante_square_2

An album you love driving around the island listening to…

I don’t drive but if I did it would probably be a Bob Marley mix.

The best sunset spot for a cold drink…

Es Vedra, spectacular views.

When you think of Ibiza and food you think of…

Fresh fish and good meat dishes.

A perfect 24 hours in Ibiza would be…

Land mid morning, laze by the pool or on the beach, grab a nice lunch of gazpacho and some watermelon, go for a walk down the beach, grab some drinks, have a amazing dinner then go DJ a beach party in the evening.

The best paella is at…

La Caracola in Ibiza Town, but you have to be hungry as portions are big!

The best Ibiza picnic beach…

Cala Salada for me stands out, beautiful spot.

Cala-Salada-Ibiza

A record that always reminds you of Ibiza…
