The UK producer on absolute fire at the moment serves up her musical menu…
A record that always reminds you of Ibiza
I think one of the tracks that most takes me back is Paul Woolford’s Erotic Discourse, hearing that drop on the Space terrace was insane.
Your perfect breakfast would be…
A vegetarian breakfast with sautéed potatoes and an absolute gem – haloumi on the side!
The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…
I think the weirdest thing is always oysters, never again for me.
The dish that reminds me of my childhood
Probably Beef Stroganoff because I love it and I always remember announcing to my mum I was becoming vegetarian and her response being “well we have beef stroganoff for dinner so what are you going to eat?”
Who taught you to cook?
My mum and Jamie Oliver.
Your favourite 3 restaurants in your home town/city
I am lucky to have a great restaurant within 5 minutes walk of my house called Toms at Twenty One which does the best breakfast with the must have halloumi.
Then within a half an hour drive there are 2 great restaurants called The George at Newnham,,,
…and The Fish On The Green in Bearsted, Kent
5 other restaurants from around the world you love
I played in Montreal and stayed at the Days Inn, the hotel was quite dated but the restaurant there was really, really good! The rest would be Peperoncino in Berlin, Gallaghers Steakhouse in Las Vegas, Lombardo’s in Amsterdam and Pinino Osteria in Ibiza.
A DJ or musician that has surprised you with their cooking skills…what did they cook
A friend I met through DJing won Masterchef two years ago and their talent is astounding, their name is Natalie Coleman. Everything Natalie cooks is incredible hence why she won.
Your guilty pleasure food. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…
Any cake or biscuits, I love cake and biscuits, I always have done, I think you are either a cake person or crisp lover.
What is your signature dish
I love pasta and the dish I probably cook the most is parpadelle.
If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?
Tom Kerridge because he makes great English food, but I also love Jamie Oliver for the Italian dishes he does and I am always trying to recreate at home.
Dead or alive – 3 famous people you would invite around for dinner…
I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist so I would love to meet Marilyn Monroe and find out what went on that night, the others would be Nikolas Tesla and Bob Marley.
A dish you have yet to master…
I like to think I cook a good roast but every time there is something that needed improvement and I tend to over-season everything.
Your favourite pizza topping
Pepperoni, sweetcorn, peppers and pineapple.
Your biggest ever food cock up
I think the worst thing was a goulash where I put 3 scotch bonnet peppers in by mistake, I like it spicy but not quite that much.
A dish you just cannot stomach
Not quite a dish but I really hate butter and margarine so if it is ever on toast or sandwiches I cannot eat it and have to ask every time I eat out which can be a real pain.
You get in from the club pissed, dive in the fridge and usually come out with…?
I am more likely if I am that drunk to grab chips in pitta bread from the kebab shop and then pass out before making it near the fridge.
The most expensive meal you have ever had?
Most of the meals I have had are below the £100 mark as I believe in searching out value rather than just opting for the most expensive.
The most disgusting thing you have ever eaten at a festival
A burger, the meat was unrecognizable which is a real concern.
The last time you used a cookbook for a meal…
All the time, I am using one today to cook a Hairy Bikers sausage casserole with butter beans and of course roast potatoes and vegetables and probably too much salt.
Ibiza…
My favourite restaurants on the island…
Pinino Osteria
Restaurante S’Ametller
Sa Capella…
The best sunset spot for a cold drink…
It always has to be Savannah’s.
Your favourite Ibiza dish
I love Italian dishes but I am also a really big fan of paella and have it every time I visit.
The perfect 24 hours in Ibiza would be…
Landing at around midday, having some lunch at Pinino Osteria then heading to Savannahs for sunset and ending the day with a night at DC10…
