Your perfect breakfast would be…

I don’t have a morning ritual…I change my breakfast every now and then as I get tired quite often. But black coffee and toasts with Jamón Serrano watching the sunrise at the Faro la Mola in Formentera would be one of my favorites. However, Can Costa in Santa Gertrudis has got one of the best toasts with Jamón on the island.

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…

Crocodile…I can’t remember the taste but it was good.

Typically Paella. Every Sunday at my Grandma’s.

My amazing mother.

Your favourite 3 restaurants in your hometown Elche…

La Araceli (below). They don’t have a menu, you just sit down and they serve you whatever they’ve prepared for the day. I’ve never had a bad one.

La Finca. This is probably the best restaurant of the whole province. Cocina de Autor opened in 1984.

My Mom’s. She hasn’t got one but she cooks like she does!

Barcelona. I love hanging out around the whole of the city, I used to live there…

Rock Bar, Osaka (Japan). Karaoke, darts and tonnes of good records!

My favorite bar in New York so far is a place called Lit (below) in the East Village, it has got pool tables, good beer and people singing Hip Hop Karaoke in a really well achieved decrepit atmosphere. Second favorite is the bar at NY’s Soho House, excellent Bloody Mary.

Katie White – she cooked roast chicken which was delicious!

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?

Ferrán Adriá – ex-head chef of elBulli. He has pushed the boundaries of cooking over any other chef, although I must say that I am not an expert, and there are probably many other chefs out there deserving the credit too!

I’ve been invited to expensive dinners, but never paid more 100€ for one…
