Anii

A track you love to hear on a sunny morning…

Nu – MAN O TO

Your perfect breakfast would be…

Everything in one! Poached eggs, gluten free toast with avocado and some shaved truffles. Of course, need to finish off with something sweet – pancakes with peanut butter!

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten…

Escargot and cows tongue! SOOOO bad

The dish that reminds me of my childhood…

Pierogi – a polish dumpling! My favourite is with onion and cabbage. My grandmother use to make the best ones.

Who taught you to cook?

My grandmother, well at least I think, as I can always remember being in the kitchen with her when I was little. She was the best at cooking everything. My mum was good and still is, and I have a huge passion for cooking and good. I can probably make a meal from barely anything in the fridge.

Your favourite 3 restaurants in your home city…

Well now my home is London, so I’ll go for the below!

Plant Hub – London Fields based, that’s gluten and dairy free food, with natural and organic wines

Image may contain: fruit and food

Shoryu Ramen – Best ramen and steamed buns in London!

Sticks & Sushi – Not much to say, but great fresh sushi always here

4 other restaurants from around the world you love…

DE Silveren Spiegel in Amsterdam

Image may contain: food

Umami Antwerp in Belgium

Image may contain: food and indoor

Hide in London

Image may contain: flower, plant and food

Minami in Ibiza

A DJ or musician that has surprised you with their cooking skills at home/their home…what did they cook..

Hahaha that’s Third Son. He makes the best breakfast in London – the most perfectly poached eggs ever

Your guilty pleasure food…. You know you shouldn’t but you always do…

I am vegan, so always harder to find something that’s really naughty. But I’d say Hackney Gelato’s Dark Chocolate Sorbet

What is your signature dish?

Anything Asian. I make a great Ramen but my flat mate doesn’t like it as much as its quite sweet with oranges and also has cauliflower in it.

If you could have a master-class with a celebrity chef, who’d you pick and why?  It would have to be ?

I think it would have to be Gordon Ramsey, as I would like to see how long it takes him to make me cry. Probably not that long, he’s a bit scary in the kitchen.

Dead or alive – 3 famous people you would invite around for dinner…

William Shakespeare, Jim Morisson and Leonard Nimoy

A dish you have yet to master…

Sushi – it just looks so confusing?! And really takes 5 hours to make, and 20 mins to eat.

Your favourite pizza topping ….

Pineapple and jalapenos

Your biggest ever food mistake…

I let the mix for a pavlova rest too long, so it didn’t even rise when I put it in the oven. It was super flat and burnt

A dish you just cannot eat…

Loads! Because I am vegan and also have a few food allergies. I cannot have any dairy, it makes me so sick. So lets say cheese. But I have a vegan cheese, which takes amazing!

You get in from the club pissed, dive in the fridge and usually come out with…?

Peanut butter on gluten free toast, or maybe eggs?! Not sure. But I don’t think they eggs and peanut butter work together do they?

The most expensive meal you have ever had?

I LOVE fine dining and really appreciate it. The restaurant that I listed earlier, De Silvern Spiegel in Amsterdam was amazing. I actually went there on my own when I was in the city, and has amazing paring wines. Also, the Dorchester in London was such a great experience.

Ibiza…

My favourite restaurants on the island…

Sunset Ashram Ibiza – hands down the best sunset on the island with great food

The best sunset spot for a cold drink…

There are so many places to get a nice cocktail. I think as I mentioned the one above already, I’ll say anywhere in Ibiza Town and around Dalt Vila. It has so many streets that are all linked together, with bars on every corner. It’s hard to go wrong down there, and you can also walk down the marina after a look at the boats.

A record that always reminds you of Ibiza…

Cubicolor ‘Dead Ends Thrills (Patrice Baumel Remix)

Your favourite Ibiza dish …

Hmm I am going to go super simple, but Patatas Bravas. I remember it was one of the first tapas things I had here when I came to the island. And have to have it every time now. They can actually be really good, and really bad!

The perfect 24 hours in Ibiza would be…

I actually think I just experienced by best 24 hours in Ibiza not that long ago in May – up early and drive somewhere to get a fresh fruit breakfast, chill with my friends by the pool or at a small hidden beach all day where we got a gorgeous lunch in the sun. After driving back with a great tan and sand in my hair, we had a drink whilst watching the sunset, and planning our clubbing schedule…..!

ANII opened Ushuaia on the 18th May to kick off the Ibiza season and next up has a collab EP with Third Son on Clash Lion – out on the 5th July
